Claude Paul was born April 27, 1950 in Chico, California. He grew up in
Hamilton City, California and attended elementary and high schools there.
Claude aspired to work for the Forest Service and while awaiting an
appointment to that service, he went for the California Correctional System
and was trained as a prison guard. He was assigned to the prison in
Susanville California in the Sierra Nevada mountains in northern California
and fell in love with the area. He was an active hunter and fisherman. While
in Susanville he bought an abandoned 10-unit apartment house with his sister
Diana and together they renovated it. Claude was tragically killed in an
automobile accident on 14 April 1984.
[775] Claude is the father of Christopher Montgomery.

The earliest name I have is a James Wright, born in 1794 in Juniata Co.,
who married Mary Ann Jacobs in Mifflintown in 1829. James moved his family
to Shelby Co., Ohio in 1853. His daughter, Nancy A. Wright, is my ancestor;
she married Robert E. Stewart in Ohio in 1854.
Sincerely yours,
