Mary ADAM

[767] [768] [769]

ABT 1760 - ____

Family 1 : Donald MACGIBBON
  1. +Elizabeth (Betty) MACGIBBON

INDEX

[767] We can surmise that Mary Adams was born around 1768 in the parish
of Inverchallern-Gorvelychan based on the notation in her
marriage record. Little is know of Donald MacGibbon and Mary
Adams other than they married on April 29 1788 in a third nearby
parish, Kilmodan.

[768] "Donald McGibbon in this parish and Mary Adams of
Inverchallern Gorvelychan name in courte marriage on 28
April and Married on 29th April".

[769] We can presume that before 1804 the family moved from Kilmoden to
Kildalton on Islay based on the marriage in 1804 of their
daughter (age 14) at that place. There are no records for any
siblings of Betty MacGibbon so she may have been an only child.
