sailed directly for the Manhattans from the Texel in the Netherlands on 27 Apri
1660 on board the Gilded Otter, and settled at Harlem. On 23 July 1664,f 17
Harlem residents of both sexes had their names transferred to the register of
the church at Fort Amsterdam, to which several of them had previusly belong.
