!BIRTH-MARRIAGE: "Pierre Cresson, Huguenot of Staten Island" Rachel Cresson
(born 1656 Delft, died after 1702 in NJ) and David Des Marest ( b 1651 d Aug
1691) had six sons and six daughters and lists 10 of them. They were born
between 1676 and 1691. David was the son of David de Marest and Marie Sohier.
Rachel married by 1696 to Jean Durie (no mention of children), a widower, and
later Roelof Vanderlinde who died in 1708. I should note that the dates of the
children are estimated and may not be accurate.

Rachel married three times. One source The
Demarest Family Vol 1, page I-II-1 regarding David Demarest b dec 20, 1651 has
the marriage Apr 4, 1675 NYC Rachel Cresson b. Dlft c 1656 dau of Pierre. She
m. (2) Jan Durie and (3) Roeloff VanderLinde.
David Demarest, Junior. She was a b. abt 1656 in Delft Holland, dau of Pierre
Cresson and Rachel Close. After the second marriage, Jean lied on the Demarest
land on the east side of the river in present New Milford, where he resided
until his death.
Further on: Rachel mar (3) Apr 25 1702 at Hackensack, Roelof Vanderlinda,
widower of Susanna Brinckerhoff, of Teaneck, where she and her fmily
subsequently lived. She is believed to have d. prior to 1719.
